With almost a century dedicated to medicine and psychiatry, Casa de Saúde Santa Catarina has become a reference name in Porto’s neuropsychiatric and mental health community. It has expanded its expertise to various specialities, including psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, psychology, paediatric psychology, neurology, family medicine, nutrition, and alternative medicine.

Now, alongside the original, familiar, and intimate setting of Casa de Saúde, a new Neuropsychiatry and Mental Health Centre in Porto has been established. This project values the impact of space on patients, prioritising natural light, comfort, and tranquillity while maintaining security, privacy, and dignity.

The new facility enhances patient care at all life stages, from childhood to old age, promoting integration and proximity between mental health specialities. This approach enables individualised and specialised treatments.

The new Casa de Saúde comprises five independent floors, accommodating approximately 100 beds, living and dining areas. One floor is dedicated to consultations and outpatient treatments, including non-invasive neuromodulation and virtual reality therapies. The ground floor features therapy rooms, a gym, a garden, a cinema room, a kitchen, and a communal dining area.
